National Briefing: Update on Bahrain’s Response to Regional Developments – 15 March 2026 News Desk
- Military Defense & Interceptions: The Bahrain Defense Force reported high preparedness in safeguarding the kingdom’s airspace. Since the beginning of the attacks, they have intercepted and destroyed:
- 145 missiles
- 246 drones
- Civil Defense & Public Safety: The Ministry of Interior has been working around the clock to manage the impact of falling shrapnel on residential and commercial areas. Since February 28, 2026:
- National Ambulance services assisted 70 patients at incident sites and 27 individuals at shelters.
- Authorities urge citizens to avoid photographing incident sites, stay away from foreign objects, and rely only on official information sources.
- Food Security & Municipal Services: The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture is ensuring market stability. Between March 1 and March 15, 2026:
- 8,170 sheep and 385 cattle were imported.
- 2,349 tons of red and white meat were brought in under 112 import permits.
- 777 health inspections and laboratory tests were conducted to maintain food safety standards.
